SUSAN HOGAN as DR. ANN SHIRLEY CONSTABLE

Susan Hogan is back to play the role of Sgt. John Constable’s wife, "Dr. Ann Shirley Constable," in A Beachcombers’ Christmas. The duo also appeared together in 2003’s Dinner With Friends at the Stanley Theatre in Vancouver. Susan is used to shooting outside on the water, having spent time filming on B.C.’s Sunshine Coast as the star of the television series Ritter's Cove, a co-production between the CBC and Taurus Films in Germany.

A graduate of the National Theatre School, Hogan has been successfully working as an actor on stage and screen for the past twenty-five years. For television, Hogan has had an ongoing lead role in five series, including Ritter’s Cove, Vanderberg Series, Little Vampires, Night Heat and Family Passions (the latter two each shot more than one hundred episodes). She has also made appearances in episodes of The L-Word, Just Cause, Mysterious Ways, Dark Angel, The Outer Limits, Cold Squad and more. Her feature film credits include Disturbing Behaviour, Rupert’s Land, Bordertown Café, White Fang, Narrow Margin and David Cronenberg’s The Brood. Her MOW credits include co-starring roles in Marker, Legs Apart, The John Denver Story, Quarantine, When Danger Follows You Home, Golden Will: The Silken Laumann Story, Underground to Freedom, Liar Liar and American Christmas Carol.

Hogan has appeared in numerous theatre productions across the country, including five seasons at the Shaw Festival and one season at the Stratford Festival. Her many theatre credits include Communicating Doors at the Stanley Theatre, Adult Entertainment at the Vancouver East Cultural Centre, King Lear with Necessary Angel, Pal Joey at the National Arts Centre, Equus at the Vancouver Playhouse and the critically acclaimed One Last Kiss, which played at both the Vancouver Playhouse and the Belfry Theatre in Victoria.

Hogan is married to actor Michael Hogan (who worked on Anne Wheeler’s film Betrayed). The couple have three children: Jennie, Charlie and Gabriel (Gabriel plays smooth-talking businessman Peter in A Beachcombers’ Christmas). The Hogans live on Bowen Island, British Columbia.
